Also known as Serpent Stars, the Brittle Stars are one of the oldest predators on earth. Fossilized specimens can be found in ancient rock formations in Europe and Northern Africa, but they seem to have experienced very little change over the millions of years that they have scoured the seas in search of small crustaceans, fish or any other organism they can overpower.
