I am fascinated by the design elements of organisms. I find that when organisms are arranged in a way that removes some of the imbued life history, the viewer awakens to facets of design such as texture, color, structure or pattern that may have been elusive or subordinated to the creature’s habits, movement or temperament.

No organisms mirror my own artistic aspirations like insects – so functional, so minimalist, so exquisitely adorned. They are the quintessential embodiment of sleek, minimalist, architectural design.
